On the morning of this Wednesday (03), Delegate Fabiano Mozza from the Homicide Police Station held a press conference to give more details about the murder of Marcos Paulo Guilhermino32 years old.
He was shot dead on Avenida Cardeal, corner of Rua Mutum, in Jardim Clarito late Tuesday afternoon (02) while picking up his son from school.
According to the Deputy, the victim had several criminal records. At the scene, experts collected 13 9mm caliber casings, and it was found that the victim suffered several perforations on his body, mainly in the skull, neck and back.
The shooter is at large and efforts are being made to locate the killer. In addition, authorities are also focused on finding out whether the vehicles that appear in the images from a security camera, which recorded the exact moment of the crime, are related to the homicide.
Mozza highlighted that Marcos’ death was not related to the death of Marcelo Furquim, who was murdered hours later in a bar in the Colmeia region.
Violence in Cascavel increases
To date, Cascavel has recorded 33 homicides, the majority of which occurred in the northern region of the city. For the Delegate, the vast majority of crimes are related to drug trafficking, whether due to territorial disputes or settlements of accounts.
