Michael pretends to be more hurt than he is while Leonor gives him the cold shoulder. She understands the intention and laughs. The pilot appears seductive and says that the best thing is to spend the night there. He starts to want to undress her, but Lurdes’ mother stops him and says they’re not at that stage yet. He gets up, saying it’s cold enough and ends up leaving. Leonor is sad.
Jesus is dozing off on his laptop. Manel enters and jokes with the employee, saying that the cows all escaped. Jesus wakes up with a start and realizes that his boss is making fun of him. Enthusiastic, he starts telling her about his ideas for the business, from massaging cows to music therapy.
Luísa is nervous about the event and talks to the priest about the mass. Pinheiro calms her down, saying everything will be fine. Susana’s mother asks her if Márcia usually comes to church, to which the priest replies that it is rare.
Jesus continues his presentation, but Manel no longer hears him. He interrupts, saying that he doesn’t believe in any of his ideas and that they don’t have the capacity to put his wild suggestions into practice. The boy is disappointed and resigns.
Márcia returned to playing and Carla appears disillusioned. Márcia says that she is weak and that she feels like a disappointment to her daughters. Anabela sees her sister tear up the scratch card and asks if her mother is playing again. Carla says yes and they hug.
Maria is relieved to know that her grandfather is okay, but she continues to feel guilty for having upset him. Lurdes says that on the positive side, Maria is not Bettencourt’s daughter after all. Sérgio listens and is intrigued. Maria enters the hospital room, apologizes to her grandfather and tells him that she is not Arthur’s daughter. Abel is very relieved.
Anabela is sad and asks her sister if they will ever be happy. Carla appears understanding, and receives a call from Renato, who tells her he can come and see her. The young woman asks her if she is sure, and says that she lives in the fishermen’s neighborhood. Renato asks him for the address.
Manel tells Joana that Jesus said goodbye and jokes that he has to rethink his recruitment methods for the dairy. Artur’s brother grabs Joana and they move to the bed, but he freezes when the veterinarian touches his tattoo. He remembers Teresa’s similar gesture when they were dating, but returns to reality. Joana finds the reaction strange.
Abel tells his granddaughter that nothing changes regarding his relationship with Pedro, as he continues to be a Bettencourt. He asks Maria if she will never see the boy again. She replies to him that she cannot promise a lie. Abel says that he wants Maria to accept the project on the other island, and that she is right when she says that she has to live her life. The girl gets emotional and hugs her grandfather.
Pedro is shaken and tells his mother that when he thought that Maria could be his sister, horrible things went through his head and that he felt hopeless. Madalena worries about her son, but he asks to be alone.
Manel finishes taking a shower and applies his mother to the tattoo. Memories he spent with Teresa as a young man return, disturbing him. He feels guilty and anxious.
Ricardo goes to the greenhouses to talk to Jaime, but Susana tells him that her brother isn’t there. The girl appears friendly and Francisca’s brother is suggestive, inviting her to dinner. She is interested, but says she can’t.
Liliana and Jaime are having fun. She confesses that it never crossed her mind to meet someone like him on the trip. She further tells him that she wanted to stay on the island forever. They kiss and Jaime ends up telling him that he doesn’t often have feelings like that either.
At home, Leonor signs the divorce papers. She feels relieved but sad at the same time.
