Bridgerton has enchanted more and more fans throughout the seasons, but this couple has been waiting for their moment to shine since season 1. On April 21st, in Bowral, Australia, the third season of Bridgerton was promoted. The chemistry that Coughlan and Newton presented aroused some curiosity, as did the black dress with beads and a bandeau neckline that the actress wore. The actor opted for something more relaxed and monochromatic with beige high-waisted pants, a see-through shirt and a long open coat.

At the launch event for the upcoming season, Coughlan says: “We’ve known each other for five years and people ask ‘What did you do to have that chemistry?’ And I’m like, ‘We just didn’t do anything.'” Newton confessed to Shondaland, a television company created by Shonda Rhimes, that “What I love about Colin and Penelope is the longevity of the relationship and the time it took to get to where it is now, which isn’t even a relationship (…) I I really enjoy playing that.”

In an interview with Australia’s The Project TV show, the reporter asked Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton if it was “safe” to watch the third season with their grandmother, to which they both responded “Please don’t watch it with your grandmother. We don’t watch it with our families”, the actress added that her mother saw some episodes and skipped a “considerable part” to avoid more embarrassing scenes.

The third season will have two parts, the first premieres on May 16th on Netflix with 4 episodes, and the second part premieres on June 13th with the remaining episodes. The trailer was released on April 11th and it is possible to confirm the closeness of Penélope and Colin as they look for partners to marry.
