Radoslaw Sikorski was speaking in the Polish parliament, presenting the new vision of the Government, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, explaining that priorities have changed, reported the Associated Press.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Poland wants to return to the group of countries that define the European Union’s agenda.

The speech takes place at a crucial moment from a historical point of view, given the war in Ukraine and the possibility that Russian aggression against Kiev will not stop in this country.

Poland, a member of NATO and the European Union, shares borders with Russia and Belarus (Moscow’s ally), as well as Ukraine, and is considered a key point in sending Western weapons to Kiev.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs anticipated that the speech would highlight the importance of this moment in history and highlight how different Poland’s foreign policy is after the change of government.

On the other hand, it would highlight “the importance that Warsaw attaches to aid to Ukraine” and would call on “Russia to join the Western family of nations”.
