March has knocked on the door, and how about offering yourself something different to make the most of your free time during the month? The tip is to leave your cell phone, TV or computer aside and indulge in intense reading that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

If you don’t know where to start, here is a list of recommendations that brings together literary sagas for all tastes. You can choose between period romances, thrillers, series of true crime, mystery plots and very Brazilian superheroes. Check out!

For those passionate about Super heroesthe series The Uncommon Citizen narrates the journey of Caliel, a young Brazilian who develops superpowers. Set in São Paulo, the story addresses social issues while the protagonist tries to deal with new skills. With the support of his friend Eder, he faces challenges such as helping homeless people, confronting powerful people and unmasking a large company responsible for exploiting the Amazon. The series will receive a film adaptation and a comic book edition.

For those who enjoy a gothic vibe, the tip is the trilogy Belladonna, published in Brazil by Plataforma21. With lots of luxury, betrayals, poisonings and good doses of suspense, the reader meets Signa Farrow, a 19-year-old girl who falls in love with the personification of Death and is later courted by Destiny. In a lethal game of seduction and revenge, the protagonist discovers, in addition to immortality, a dark power within herself that makes her a danger to those around her.

6. The Cursed Night and Drifting
