O Funk Generation, Anitta’s new album in English, has just come out of the oven, and the singer decided to celebrate the release in style. After performing at the Latin Music Awards, an international Latin music award that took place in Las Vegas, in the United States, the 31-year-old artist went clubbing early this Friday (26) and danced a lot to celebrate the new project.
Anitta published a video in which she was having fun with her friend and dancer Ohana Lefundes. In the publication, the two danced to one of the songs from the new album and went down to the show.
To go clubbing, Poderosa chose a bold look. She was wearing a black jumpsuit full of slits across her body, including some cutouts that left part of her butt exposed.
When announcing the release of Funk Generation, the singer left a message in English to present the work to an international audience. “Funk is part of the culture of those who live in Brazilian favelas, where I come from. It has been judged as worthless and even associated with organized crime. This is a reflection of the class prejudice and racism that haunts our society. Today, I feel fulfilled to see that funk is a source of inspiration in the Brazilian and global music scenes. A genre with value, awarded and admired. I hope you can dance, sing and celebrate the power of Brazilian funk with me”, said Anitta.
