Araraquara confirmed 39 new cases of covid-19according to a daily bulletin released this Tuesday (2) by the municipal health department.
In the last 24 hours, 36% of the 107 tests carried out in public and private networks had positive results for the disease. Since the beginning of the year, the city has registered 6,957 cases, including 15 deaths.
At the moment, nine people are hospitalized, eight in the ward and one in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Of this total, five live in municipalities in the region.
Regarding chikungunya, Araraquara confirmed two more cases in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the year, seven cases of the disease were recorded.
Dengue and zika notifications remained the same from the last update: 294 and one respectively. The three diseases are transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
