Rui Rocha without fear of not being elected by Braga. “I’ll make it”, he assures

The president of the Liberal Initiative (IL) said this Saturday that he has no doubt that he will be elected by Braga, the district where he is from and for which he is head of the list, because he knows the people and the problems of the region.

“I’m going to make it, I don’t put forward that scenario”, replied Rui Rocha, after being asked by journalists about the possibility of not being elected in a circle where in the last legislative elections he was the only deputy elected by IL.

Believing that IL will have “an excellent result” in Braga because it is on an “rising wave”, the liberal leader explained that running for Braga was the “only decision that made sense” because it is where he lives.

And he added: “This is where I know the people, this is where I know the problems, this is where I have civic, political and family intervention, this is where it makes sense for me to run.”

Rui Rocha highlighted that the district of Braga is a region with many young people, who understand Portugal’s problems very well and that, therefore, IL’s speech “makes sense throughout the country and even more so in Minho”.

Saying that IL is growing, an objective he set at the start of the electoral campaign, the liberal is convinced that Minho believes in and wants economic growth, as proposed by the party.
