Braga Chamber deliberates support worth 160 thousand euros

The Braga City Council is expected to approve this afternoon, at a meeting of the municipal executive, a set of financial support, totaling 160 thousand euros, to various parishes and entities in the municipality.
The proposals, in the form of direct financial support and inter-administrative contracts for the delegation of powers, are part of the agenda of the meeting that will take place at 6:30 pm, at the Braga Youth Center.
As for direct support, the allocation of 1,675 euros to the Union of Parishes (UF) of Arentim and Cunha will be analyzed to support the repair of the fence at the Cunha leisure park. The granting of support to the UF of Guisande e Oliveira (S. Pedro) will also be voted on, in the amount of 6.36 euros for fees for the project to requalify and widen Rua do Talho (Oliveira); and to the UF of Crespos e Pousada, in the amount of 66,991 euros, for the requalification of the changing rooms and the Pousada ring.

The agenda also includes proposals to support the Cultural and Social Center of Santo Adrião, worth 22,498 euros, for the expansion of the daycare center; to the Social Sports and Cultural Fund for Workers of Braga City Council and Municipal Companies, in the amount of 57,250 euros; and also the granting of various support within the scope of the BRAGASOL program, which aims to provide support to people in vulnerable situations, to pay connection charges to the public water and sanitation network.
In the area of ​​Education, the municipal executive must approve the proposals for a school transport subsidy within the scope of the articulated teaching of Dance at the Maximinos School Group (2,600 euros), and the attribution of support (2850 euros) to the D. Maria II Schools to cover current expenses.
Other issues under analysis will be the proposal for setting the value and coverage of personal accident insurance for members of local government bodies for the years 2024 and 2025, and the proposal relating to the Assessment Report of the Statute of Right to Oppose for the year 2023.
