The Burrinha Procession, one of the highlights of Braga’s Holy Week, takes to the city’s streets, tomorrow, Wednesday, from 9:00 pm. In a statement, the PSP warns that there are several streets that will be conditioned and warns of the risk of pickpockets.

According to the PSP, from 8pm onwards, car traffic will be subject to restrictions in the following streets: Rua de S. Victor; Rua da Restauração (between Rua Beato de Carvalho and Rua de S. Victor); Avenida 31 de Janeiro (between Rua 25 de Abril and Largo da Senhora-a-Branca, with the exception of TUB SM); Rua do Raio (between Largo da Senhora-a-Branca and the Trofa Private Hospital – Braga Centro); Largo da Senhora-a-Branca; Rua de Santa Margarida (between Rua de Camões and Largo da Senhora-a-Branca); Central Avenue.

The PSP also recommends that “arrive as early as possible to facilitate parking and preferably leave your car in well-lit areas”.

“Do not leave valuables visible from the outside. If you have to store an object in the trunk, you should do so at the beginning of your journey and not when you are parking”, he adds.

And, finally, it recommends “maximum care when it comes to storing wallets”.

“Ladies should carry their wallets from the front and men should avoid carrying them in the back pocket of their trousers, in order not to facilitate or encourage the activities of ‘pickpockets’”, he concludes.
