They started in the 400 square meter basement of a hotel, in Beja, in 2013. Today, they have four studios in the country — having opened another one in Lisbon on April 1st of this year, in Príncipe Real. We are talking about Blive Studio Pilates, which is dedicated exclusively to the modality created by Joseph Pilates, at the beginning of the 20th century.

After the success of his first studio in the capital, opened in 2023 in Areeiro, the need arose to move closer to the 19th century mansions that fill one of the city’s best-known neighborhoods. “We wanted to come more to the center of Lisbon. It seemed like an interesting location to expand the concept”, says Ana Duarte, studio manager, in an interview with NiT.

The brand’s concept seeks “harmony in a moment of peace that escapes the stress of daily life”, he says. “Pilates techniques serve to improve physical condition, but not only.” The idea of tranquility that the brand aims to highlight is closely related to the place of origin. “We wanted to bring the peace that we feel in Alentejo to the city. Slow down and give ourselves the opportunity to enjoy the moment for ourselves. Basically, creating an environment where people can reconnect with themselves”, explains the manager.
