The University of Coimbra (UC) joins Kidical Mass. With the motto “Space for the next Generation”, the initiative takes place on May 5th, starting at 10 am, at Praça 25 de Abril and aims to promote sustainable mobility.
A bicycle tour that aims to promote sustainable mobility. Kidical Mass is organized by the Coimbr’a Pedal group and has the support of the Coimbra City Council and the Santo António dos Olivais Parish Council. The UC Office for Sustainable Development (GDS) joins the movement and invites the academic community to participate in the tour.
The objective is to “give visibility to the need and desire of families to use active modes in their daily journeys, demanding the improvements of cycling infrastructure and the pacification of the streets, especially in school areas”, explains the UC GDS.
At the end of the tour, at 11:30 am, a meeting with participants is planned.
As a cultural event, the event has no registration (it is therefore not covered by insurance, and the risks are assumed by each participant in the tour).
