The documentaries Sharecroppers It is Early Childhood Nutritiondeveloped by the team at Brazil in factbecame part of the Bombozila catalogue, a platform online which brings together independent films created by popular movements to tell stories of resistance, known as the ‘Netflix of social struggles’.
Founded in 2016 by independent documentary filmmakers and social educators, Bombozila emerged as a space to disseminate impactful documentaries, with the aim of promoting discussions and helping to change realities. The organizers state that they believe in the role of audiovisual as a tool for social transformation.

In addition to exclusive films from the platform itself, productions from independent directors from Brazil and other Latin American countries are offered. After free registration, you can now watch films from the catalogue. Launched in February 2024, Sharecroppers shows the precarious living conditions of rural workers who produce cocoa, in a production chain marked by contemporary slavery and child labor, common practices in cultivation areas. The documentary is directed by Pedro Stropasolas and Vitor Shimomura.
Early Childhood Nutrition was launched in November 2023 and debates the opposition between hunger and food insecurity (which affect a large part of the Brazilian population) with the lobby of the food industry for the sale of ultra-processed products, which offer low nutritional value at affordable prices. The film is directed by Iolanda Depizzol.
