Metropolitano de Lisboa workers will go on a 24-hour strike on June 26. The decision was taken in the plenary held on Wednesday.

The stoppage begins to take effect at the end of the night of June 25, Rock in Rio day, and extends to the last day of the festival.

In statements to RenaissanceNuno Fonseca, from the Transport Workers’ Union, recalls that “there is still an extraordinary strike, which, in practice, implies, for example, that popular festivals in Lisbon do not extend beyond one of the morning”.

Workers want “fast admission of new workers, decent salary increases and career progression”, reads the information distributed among the company’s employees.
