A serious accident was recorded this Friday morning (26) in Povoado Massapê, in Feira Grande, in Agreste de Alagoas. A car crashed head-on into a motorcycle. The driver and a woman riding pillion died instantly. Two other people were injured.
Residents in the area said the driver of the car had just left a party. He allegedly overtook on a continuous stretch of road and collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.
The victims who were on the motorcycle died at the scene, even before being rescued. Two people in the car were injured.
Because of the accident, a long traffic jam formed in the region. Some people who needed to continue their journey got out of their vehicles and walked along the stretch of road. (see video below).

The Fire Department was called because it was reported that one of the victims was trapped in the wreckage. However, upon arriving at the scene, the garrison did not find anyone in that situation.
Three ambulances from the Emergency Medical Care Service (Samu) were also on site to provide assistance to the victims, including one for advanced support and two for basic support.
