These are 15 series that have their final season scheduled to arrive on streaming later this year.

With such a diverse offer spread across various streaming platforms, it is very difficult to keep up to date with all the series that are preparing to say goodbye in 2024. Therefore, productions that we loved to follow often come to an end and we don’t even realize it.

To avoid these unpleasant surprises, MHD has prepared an extensive list that includes fifteen of the most important streaming series that have their final season scheduled to premiere later this year. In some cases, we already have a clear date for when we will say our last goodbye, in others there is only a prediction that the series will reach its conclusion before 2024 ends.

From “Young Royals” to “Vikings: Valhalla” these are 15 series that are scheduled to end on streaming platforms in 2024:


YOUNG ROYALS (THIRD SEASON)

When he arrives at the prestigious Hillerska boarding school, Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) finally has the opportunity to explore his true nature and discover the kind of life he truly wants for himself. Wilhelm then begins to dream of a future full of freedom and unconditional love, far from the duties of royalty, but when he unexpectedly becomes next in line to the throne, his dilemma is elevated to a new level where he will have to choose between love and duty.

After three seasons of six episodes, the Swedish series ended in March this year and can be seen in full on Netflix.


CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (TWELFTH SEASON)

Starring Larry David as an exaggerated version of himself, the iconic Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy series offers a tongue-in-cheek depiction of the writer, producer and comedian’s fictional life. This comedy continues to demonstrate how seemingly trivial details of a person’s daily life can precipitate a catastrophic chain of events. In order to maintain narrative spontaneity, the series is filmed without a script and cast members receive sketches of the scenes and improvise lines on the spot.

The twelfth season is being released every Monday on Max and ends with the airing of the final episode on the same day April 8 on streaming.


STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH (THIRD SEASON)

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite experimental clones first introduced in “The Clone Wars” as they try to find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy. Each member of the Bad Batch – who vary genetically from their brethren in the Clone Army – possesses an unusual ability that makes them extraordinarily effective.

The third season, consisting of 15 episodes, is already being released on the streaming platform Disney+ and will end on May 1st.


YOUNG SHELDON (SEASON SEVEN)

Created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, “Young Sheldon” is a prequel to the hit series “The Big Bang Theory.” Set in the late 80s and narrated by Jim Parsons, the adult Sheldon, this is the story of 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage), a genius misunderstood by his family, his colleagues and his neighbors. The cast also includes Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord and Annie Potts.

After seven seasons, the series will end on CBS with a one-hour final episode on May 16. In Portugal, the last chapter should arrive on streaming, on Max, a few days apart.


THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY (FOURTH SEASON)

With the death of their father, brothers with extraordinary powers meet again and discover surprising family secrets – as well as an imminent threat to humanity. This is a series based on the comic book written and created by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel Bá and distributed by Dark Horse Comics. The work is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, for Netflix.

The final season will feature Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Colm Feore, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, David Cross and will consist of 6 episodes which arrive on Netflix on August 8th.


BIG MOUTH (SEASON EIGHT)

“Big Mouth” is an animated comedy series with 7 seasons, 10 half-hour episodes each, provocative and aimed at adults, written by Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg. The series follows the adventures of Nick (Kroll) and Andrew (John Mulaney), two best friends who face the changes of puberty. Along with classmates Jessi (Jessi Klein), Missy (Jenny Slate) and Jay (Jason Mantzoukas), the two teenagers experience various situations and adversities that, due to lack of experience, they are not always able to overcome.

The eighth and final season of the series will arrive on Netflix later this year.


COBRA KAI (SIXTH SEASON)

The story of “Cobra Kai” takes place 30 years after the events of the All Valley Karate Championship in 1984, continuing the inevitable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Daniel is now a successful car salesman and family man; Johnny, on the contrary, is the representation of failure: alcoholic, lonely and without a steady job. When Johnny opens his dojoDaniel decides to do the same in hopes of ruining his colleague’s plans.

The first five seasons are available on Netflix and the series will return to streaming with the sixth and final season later this year.


ELITE (SEASON EIGHT)

Elite follows everyday life at Las Encinas, the best and most exclusive school in Spain, attended only by children of rich and influential families. Everything changes when three public school students are transferred there, as a result of an earthquake that destroyed their old school, Christian (Miguel Herrán), Nadia (Mina El Hammani) and Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), but social differences will make be noticed. This contrast between the less favored and the wealthy culminates in a mysterious murder. Now it remains to be seen: who is behind the crime? Is the killer one of the newbies? Or is there something darker loose in the halls?

The Spanish phenomenon will come to an end with its eighth season later this year on Netflix.


STAR TREK: DISCOVERY (FIFTH SEASON)

This series takes place approximately ten years before the events of the original Star Trek series, this adventure sees the united houses of Klingons in a war with the United Federation of Planets. The protagonists are the crew of the USS Discovery. The cast includes names like Sonequa Martin-Green (“The Walking Dead”), Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”), Wilson Cruz (“13 Reasons Why”), David Ajala (“Supergirl”) and Mary Wiseman ( “Baskets”).

The fifth and final season will premiere on SkyShowtime Portugal, with the last episode scheduled for April 5th.


SWEET TOOTH (THIRD SEASON)

Gus (Christian Convery) and the other hybrids are taken prisoner by the Last Men, who want to find a cure for the Disease. To save his friends, Gus must find strength while discovering the origins of the Great Meltdown.

After three seasons, the series will come to an end on Netflix.


VIKINGS: VALHALLA (THIRD SEASON)

Returning to the beginning of the 11th century, “Vikings: Valhalla” chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings in history: Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his sister Freydis (Frida Gustavsson) and the Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) .

The third season arrives on streaming and will show our heroes seven years after the conclusion of the second season. Freydis is now the undisputed leader of the pagan town of Jomsborg, while Leif and Harald have achieved glory in Constantinople. But the three still have to face great challenges to reach their ultimate destination. The final season of “Vikings: Valhalla” arrives on Netflix in 2024.


YOU (FIFTH SEASON)

Based on the best-selling book by Caroline Kepnes, the series asks the question: “What are we willing to do for love?” When the paths of Joe (Penn Badgley), a brilliant bookstore manager, and Beck (Elizabeth Lail), an aspiring writer, cross, his answer becomes clear: everything.

By using the internet and social media as tools to discover even the most intimate details of her life and to get closer to her, a charming crush with its clumsy edge quickly becomes an obsession as he, discreetly and strategically, remove all obstacles… and people from your path. The final season of “You” is scheduled to end in 2024 on Netflix.


WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (SIXTH SEASON)

Based on the film of the same name by Taika Waititi, this series uses the mockumentary style to follow the lives of four vampires who share a house in Staten Island, New York. The four vampires have distinct personalities and lifestyles, which leads to many conflicts and comical situations. Nandor (Kayan Novak), the Relentless, is a medieval vampire; Laszlo Cravensworth (Matt Berry), a bohemian vampire; Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), a ruthless vampire; and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), a vampire who feeds on people’s energy through boredom.

In Portugal, the FX series is complete on Max and its final season is expected to arrive on the platform this year.

YELLOWSTONE (FIFTH SEASON – PART 2)

“Yelloswtone” follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. The ranch is under constant attack from those it borders—land developers, an Indian reservation, and the first National Park in the United States of America. It’s an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny, where land acquisitions make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s biggest oil and timber companies.

The saga of the Dutton family now comes to an end in the second part of the fifth season, which is scheduled to premiere in November 2024. In Portugal, the series is broadcast a few days apart on SkyShowtime Portugal.


THE GENIUS FRIEND (FOURTH SEASON)

Based on the work of Elena Ferrante, this Italian series is the story of a meeting between Elena and Lila, two children from a popular neighborhood on the outskirts of Naples, and their teenage friendship. Elena meets her friend in first year. Both come from well-off families, Elena’s father works as a doorman at the town hall, Lila’s is a shoemaker. This begins a friendship in a spirit of competition.

Still no confirmed date, the series comes to an end this year with its fourth season on Max.
