Two homes rehabilitated under the 1st Right program

Two families saw their homes rehabilitated under the 1st Right Program, in that parish in the municipality of Peso da Régua. Both interventions were financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

As part of the implementation of its Local Housing Strategy (ELH), the Municipality of Peso da Régua identified housing needs, among the most needy population in the municipality, in order to “guarantee access to decent housing for families”.

When houses have housing needs and families have few financial resources, the Municipality guarantees “the technical support necessary to prepare individual applications for each household, but also the possibility of, in specific cases, acting on their behalf, as a facilitator of execution physical and financial aspect of the operation”.

The Peso da Régua Chamber also said that it intends to expand the objectives achieved so far, in accordance with social changes and developments in the field of rehabilitation and social inclusion.
