More than 865 thousand euros is the amount that Braga City Council will transfer to finance the execution of works in several parishes and support the activity of different institutions in the municipality.
The proposals, in the form of inter-administrative contracts for the delegation of powers, financial support to parishes, sports development program contracts and cultural promotion contracts, are analyzed at a meeting of the Municipal Executive, next Monday, at Forum Braga.
With regard to inter-administrative contracts, the largest share, 271 thousand euros, concerns the execution of the requalification and widening of Rua de Andrias, Travessa do Paço, Beco de Andrias and the access to Rua de Segões, in the União das Freguesias de Celeirós , Aveleda and Vimieiro.
The Parish of Palmeira will receive 117 thousand euros in increased funding for the requalification and widening of Rua da Igreja. The Union of Parishes of Arentim and Cunha receives 28 thousand euros for the widening and restoration of the Paço road.
For the Union of Parishes of Merelim (S. Paio), Panóias and Parada de Tibães, the amount of 27 thousand euros remains for the requalification of the Agrafonte ring. Sobreposta receives 8 thousand euros for the project to requalify and widen Rua da Piscina. Finally, Adaúfe receives 6 thousand euros for paving and widening part of Penedo Street.
As for financial support, the Union of Parishes of Lomar and Arcos receives 3.1 thousand euros to support the replacement of the passenger shelter, the Union of Parishes of Ferreiros and Gondizalves receives 24.1 thousand euros to support the renovation of the exterior of the building headquarters of the Junta de Ferreiros, the Union of Parishes of Arentim and Cunha receives 10.8 thousand euros to support the sanitation diversion of the EB1/Polidesportivo school, the Union of Parishes of Crespos and Pousada receives 4.7 thousand euros to support the painting of the Crespos Cemetery and the Union of Parishes of Merelim S. Paio, Panoias and Parada de Tibães receives 4.8 thousand euros for the implementation of a water supply branch in the organic garden of Parada de Tibães.
SUPPORT FOR SPORT
With regard to sports development program contracts, Futebol Clube Ferreirense is awarded 134 thousand euros, to replace the synthetic turf and requalify the changing rooms, and Desportivo de Adaúfe is awarded 168 thousand euros for replacement of synthetic turf.
In terms of financial support for cultural entities, contract proposals with ARCUM – Associação Cultural e Recreativa Universitária do Minho (6.5 thousand euros) will be analyzed; Santo Adrião Cultural and Social Center (1.5 thousand euros); Tuna Feminina Universitária do Minho – Gatuna (4.5 thousand euros); Suonart – Cultural Association (35 thousand euros) and AMTM – Project´arte na Tradição, Association (14 thousand euros).
