April is almost here, and Disney+ is full of news!

If you’re a fan of animation, you won’t want to miss the April premieres on Disney+. Starting with “Wish”, a film that celebrated 100 years of the Walt Dinsey animation studio, and the series “Iwájú”, an unprecedented collaboration with a Nigerian animation company. And of course, for “Bluey” fans, new episodes are on the way.

WISH: THE POWER OF WISHES

On April 3rd, “Wish” arrives on Disney+, an animated film made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Animation Studio.

The plot of this film takes place in the magical Kingdom of Roses, where Asha makes a wish so strong that it ends up being answered by Estrela, a cosmic force the size of a small ball of energy. Asha and Estrela will have to face the Magnificent King, to prove that when the will is great, everyone can fulfill their desires.

The original version featured the voices of Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”, “Argylle”), Chris Pine (“Wonder Woman”, “Star Trek”), Alan Tudyk (“Rogue One: A Story of Star Wars”, “I, Robot”), Angelique Cabral (“Colored Friends”, “Dragons: The Nine Realms”), Victor Garber (“Argo”, “Titanic”) and Natasha Rothwell (“Wonka”, “Sonic 2 : The film”). The Portuguese version featured the voices of Paloma del Pillar, Diogo Morgado, Ricardo Monteiro, Ana Vieira, Carla García, Ruben Madureira, Afonso Lagarto, Alexandre Carvalho, Daniela Onís, José Jorge Duarte, Luís Lobão and Helena Montez.

For April 10th, a very special new animated series arrives on Disney+, as it is a collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and a pan-African animation company, Kugali.

“Iwájú” takes place in the futuristic city of Lagos in Nigeria, where we follow the growth of two children: Tola, a rich island girl, and Kole, a self-taught technology expert. The two embark on an adventure to discover the secrets and dangers of their very different worlds.

The cast features the voices of Simisola Gbadamosi, Dayo Okeniyi (“Dark Matter”, “See”), Femi Branch, Siji Soetan and Weruche Opia (“Genius”, “High Desert”).

Accompanying this series will also premiere a documentary,”Iwájú: Um Dia Pela Frente”, where the story of Kugali’s founders will be shared.


THANK YOU, GOODNIGHT: THE BON JOVI STORY

If you’re a fan of Bon Jovi, don’t miss this documentary series that premieres on Disney+ on April 26th.

This series, divided into four parts, narrates the past and uncertain future of the rock ‘n’ roll band, in a series where the band gave full access to the cameras.


THE GREATEST SUCCESSES

This film arrives on Disney+ on April 12th. “The Greatest Hits” tells the story of Harriet, who discovers that she can go to the past when listening to certain songs. Her trips to the past will remind her of an old love, while a new one emerges in the present.

The cast includes Lucy Boynton (“The Orient Express”, “Barbie”), David Corenswet (“Superman”, “We Own This City”), Justin H. Min (“Beef”, “The Umbrella Academy” ), Retta (“Parks and Recreation”), Jackson Kelly (“Chucky,” “Lucky Hank”) and Andie Ju (“Beef”).


BLUEY

“Bluey” continues to be a huge success on Disney+, and during the month of April you can expect two new episodes. The first, titled “The Special Basket”, premieres on April 7th. And on the 14th the episode “O Sinal” premieres, which will be twice the length of a normal episode!
