  • Lynda Carter believes that, if there is pressure from fans, Wonder Woman 3 will be produced;
  • In the franchise, she plays the legendary Asteria;
  • She also claims that her old series was highly sought after when the films came out.

Actress Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 70s, says that the sequel to the film starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patty Jenkins is not “completely ruled out” and that they need “noise from the fans” for them to return to consider the start of production.

In Wonder Woman 1984, the actress plays Asteria – an Amazon considered a “legend” and the true owner of the golden armor worn by Diana in the feature film.

“I don’t think they will unless there is enough pressure from the fans. I believe they don’t have the mind to do it. And I don’t understand that, because it seems to me that Wonder Woman is different from the other characters. She’s not just a superhero. Her entire saga revolves around peaceful solutions. She is not aggressive for the sake of aggression. It’s a different story. It’s about inner strength, outer strength. I don’t know why they left it out, because it’s a big franchise.”

Interest in Lynda Carter’s Diana

According to the actress, after her appearance in Wonder Woman 1984 there was a great interest and search for her character from the 70s.

“I have to give a lot of credit to Patty and Gal, because interest in my show peaked when they both came on the scene. Their vision was intentional, and how I played the character was intentional. To be good and charitable and strong and do the right things for the right reasons. Even when she’s mad, she’s feeling that way about the people she belongs to.”
