Nico Hulkenberg will leave Haas at the end of the season and move to Kick Sauber (from 2026 Audi), the two teams announced this Friday.
“I thank Nico for his contributions to the team during his time with us – he’s been a great team player and someone we’ve really enjoyed working with,” said Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu.

With his speed, his experience and his commitment to the team, he will be an important part of our team’s transformation – and of Audi’s F1 project”, declared Andreas Seidl, the CEO of Sauder Motorsport and future CEO of Audi F1.
Hulkenberg, reveals Audi, signed a “multi-year” contract. At this point, it should be said, Kick Sauber’s drivers are Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou. For now, it is not known which of them will be replaced by the 36-year-old German.
Nico Hulkenberg is currently 13th in the drivers’ championship.
