Man with Neuralink implant made the first Tweet using only his mind

Neuralink once again gained great relevance in the world after the first implant in a human being began to enable 29-year-old Noland Arbaugh, who became paraplegic from the shoulder down a few years ago due to an accident, to perform various tasks.

Started by being able to play chess on the computer and now, he made his first Tweet (on social network X) using only his mind and the help of the Neuralink implant.

Technology allows us to open doors to great advances in the health sector, and an example of this is Noland Arbaugh, 29 years old, who is gradually recovering some functions that, for all of us, are common in everyday life.

After the accident, Arbaugh was left paraplegic from the shoulder down, which took away most of his ability to be independent on a daily basis.

However, Neuralink entered the scene and gave young people the possibility of gaining some of the autonomy they lost. It started with a small surgery to place the implant and, recently, a video was released with updates on the case.

Even more recently, Noland took the project a step further, becoming the first man to publish a Tweet on social networkusing only the mind.

The Telepathy implant allows the user to control technological equipment with just their thoughts, with the process being in the testing phase and showing small improvements as Noland gets used to the entire process.

In the publication made by the young man with the Neuralink implant, later shared by Elon Musk, the boy published that the social network had blocked him because he thought he was a robot, “@X and @ElonMusk reintegrated because, in fact, I am a robot”, it can be read.

Neuralink’s next objective is Blindsight, which is still being developed and promises to restore or even create vision for those who have lost it.
