Model Joana Sanz even deactivated social media at the most critical moment in her relationship with her husband, football player Daniel Alves, convicted in the first instance in Spain for raping a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. Little by little, the Spanish woman returned to the networks and became active again, with more constant posts.

After the controversy post in which she supports her husband, Sanz once again shared his routine. This time, she made a post showing her day: “With a cold and everything,” she said.

The newspaper Mundo Deportivo criticized the model: “Joana Sanz made the good decision to remove your account from Instagram, but after a few days he returned. The native of Canary Islands doesn’t know how to continue being the center of the news and, therefore, after threatening to disappear, she returned to her social network and surprised us with her latest publication after Dani Alves’ provisional departure”.

The newspaper evaluated Sanz’s decision to give public support to her husband. “When the sentence becomes final, this decision to continue alongside Alves is likely to have a negative impact on the model’s professional career.”

At the beginning of the case against Daniel Alves, Sanz made public his intention to divorce the former Brazilian national team player, but ended up changing his mind. She sided with him and even testified on his behalf at the trial.

Daniel Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for raping a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona, ​​Spain. He paid bail of 1 million euros (R$5.4 million) and left prison.

Conviction of Daniel Alves

On February 22, Daniel Alves was found guilty of the crime of sexual assault and sentenced to four and a half years in prison, in addition to another five years of supervised release and payment of compensation of 150 thousand euros (R$ 798 thousand, at the rate of time) and the costs of the process.

The Spanish Public Ministry asked the athlete for nine years in prison. The victim’s defense requested the maximum sentence for the crime, 12 years.

Judge Isabel Delgado, responsible for the player’s sentence, also ordered that Daniel Alves stay away from the victim for nine years.
